Ezulwini

PlusCo

Ezulwini is a company that believes in economic change through farming. Our goal is to build a scalable business model that enables young black farmers to become owners of mid-sized farms.

We started as the dream of Mitch Marescia and Lliam Roach to "create economic change through farming" with the additional desire to tackle the land problem and bring food and employment to forgotten communities in SA.

From there the journey led naturally to developing a realistic aquaponic solution for Africa, in that a mix of veg and fish could be produced in the most insular & resilient farming method we could envisage. Including NP1's involvement aimed at building great, scalable commercial systems—we're all in this to develop a system that creates predictable agribusinesses that can be franchised and funded for new entrants to the market, with tech-enabled intensification that allows employment conditions and pay to significantly improve.

But we didn't stop there! We saw an opportunity to create better vehicles for change, starting with our young black farmers. Because when you have something like this—an end-to-end solution that enables young black farmers to become owners of mid-sized, commercially thriving, systematized farms—it becomes much easier for them to change how we use land in South Africa.
